The partnership is another reflection of a burgeoning marriage between consultant review and legal enterprise technology.

Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions this week announced a strategic partnership with Big Four professional services firm Pricewaterhouse Coopers to package Wolters Kluwer’s claims litigation technology alongside PwC’s consulting services. The partnership promises to streamline litigation cycle management for legal professionals working with both ELM Solutions and PwC.

ELM Solutions’ Passport Claims Defense software stands at the technological core of the partnership. While not all insurance claims result in litigation, many do, requiring both insurance companies and legal professionals to track litigation life cycles. The partnership allows PwC consultants to leverage the platform for insurance clients through the full scope of potential claims litigation, reducing the burdens on legal professionals juggling multiple reporting sources.  

Glenn Paredes, executive VP and general manager of Wolters Kluwer’s ELM Solutions, explained that the partnership serves as a window onto a greater push within the legal services community to create integrated technology ecosystems, rather than trying to manage a claim across various competing platforms.
